About Ball Ground, GA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Ball Ground, Georgia is a city situated in Cherokee County. According to the United States Census, Ball Ground had a population of approximately 1,433 people in 2010. The city is located north of the Atlanta metropolitan area in the lower Appalachian Mountains.

Many of the settlers who moved into the area where Ball Ground is located were attracted to the fertile land that surrounds the city. Before the arrival of European settlers, the area was occupied by Native American Indians of the Cherokee tribe. In fact, the Battle of Taliwa took place in Ball Ground. The battle was between Cherokee and Creek Indians and was fought because of land. Years after the period when Native Americans were present, Ball Ground was incorporated, paving the pathway for the city’s future success. Today, quaint shops, eateries, city parks and beautiful neighborhoods occupy the streets of Ball Ground, making it a perfect place for residents and visitors.

It is necessary for residents of Ball Ground to have both heating and cooling systems installed in their homes. The city is situated in a climate that experiences four distinct seasons, meaning winters are usually cold and wet and summers are very warm. The months of December, January and February have daytime temperature high averages that range from the upper-40s to low-50s. Also, freezing temperatures are very common throughout these months. Efficient heating systems will help keep residents warm and dry throughout the winter season.

The months of June, July and August experience temperatures that average in the mid-80s. On the warmest days, temperatures easily climb up to the 90s. Central air conditioning units are necessary throughout these months to keep homes as cool as possible. Since these systems are used a lot during the summer season, they should be regularly inspected by a professional HVAC technician. This practice will help systems operate as efficiently as possible and will keep residents cool indoors.
